Job description
We are seeking either an Oracle database administrator for a financial firm

Strong Experience in Query Tuning/Performance Tuning/Database System Tuning.
Assist development and reporting groups in optimizing SQL statements in applications, batch jobs, and reports and in designing and using databases and database applications and processes for maximum performance, security, reliability, and availability.
Monitors performance issues on all production and non-production databases (as applicable)
Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
Work with Goldengate to replicate data among different databases.
Manage Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Automate database tasks using shell/power shell/python or other third party automation tools.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

10+ years of experience in Oracle (including 5 years of experience in 12c onwards)
3+ years of experience in Golden Gate
Experience in MS SQL Server Database is a plus
Experience in AWS is a plus
Good Experiences in Shell and SQL. Python is a plus
Experience in MySQL and PostgreSQL is a plus
Experience in Pure storage is a plus
Experience working in financial company is a plus
Experience to Monitoring Tools like OEM cloud control, Foglight
5+ years MS SQL Server Database Administration experience required
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Knowledge of Cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
Knowledge of Data Warehouse and ETL tools like SSIS
Proficiency with Power Shell and/or python
Experience with Oracle database administration is a plus
Experience working in financial company is a plus
Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
Should have strong time management skills with willingness and ability to handle multiple projects/initiatives at the same time.
